Our Mission: The purpose of this Club is to encourage interest in and the study of the Sherlock Holmes stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle through the conduct of monthly meetings, other social events, and publications. The goal is to recruit, welcome, engage with and retain as members anyone interested in Sherlock Holmes. Goldfarb straddles the division between academic and popular, or even Sherlockian, readings of the Holmes canon.

Doyle, to publish. Consequently, the focus of Sherlockian discussions falls upon such things as whether Watson was married once or twice, and how to explain or accommodate chronological inconsistencies in the stories and there are many! This terrific volume is a study guide for Sherlockian readers who want to take the Canon to a deeper level. Using Doubleday's ordering of the stories, Goldfarb approaches each Sherlockian tale by use of artfully composed mini-essays that explore details which might escape a mere casual reader.

Especially in November. Just the weather for woolen coats, scarves, and amazing menswear. I suspect Nordstroms and other conservative, high end menswear departments, are going to be a bit confused by the sudden run on furled, full-size, black umbrellas.
