His desire to put art on the streets and bars is to help break the mindset held by most people that art is only found in museums. Not much is known about this graffiti piece, other than it adornes the backside of Hole in the Wall. Nothing is known about the sleeping cartoon cat except that this mural has existed for approximately two years.
He updated the portraits with different colors from their originals. With depictions of floating coffee cups and pigs playing the violin among its fanciful imagery, it has infiltrated the subconscious sleep of the student body. Noted for its psychedelic appearance, the mural is a celebration of the street life up and down the Drag in the early Seventies, displaying local shops and colorful characters as well as historic personalities such as Stephen F.
Completed by the same three Austintatious artists, the state of Texas panel partners the Austintatious mural across the sidewalk at the Renaissance Market. Created by the Brooklyn-based artist collaboration between Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller who are known for the wheatpasteing murals, like Challenger.
This piece was created in tribute for the Challenger Space shuttle. Muscian, Daniel Johnston, painted the mural in and it has withstood many building renovations.
