Better experience than previous stores. Met a lot of great people and felt very comfortable being myself. Pros Kind and understanding management mostly. Cons it's retail. I've been working here for a couple weeks at the Hannaford to Go department and it's been a very pleasant experience so far. Manager and co workers often show appreciation for hard work and the pay is fair.

No help with advancement or growing with company if you are over Most definitely not over 50 No appreciation for your experience. No encouragement or help growing in the company. People are fun. Management is the worst. I love my coworkers to death, but I can't deal with the management. I have been misgendered multiple times by 2 of the shift leaders none of them being the younger ones, mind you and they ONLY do it to me and the other two trans folk that work with me.
They refuse to let you do things that make your job easier for you, even when there is absolutely no issue with it. They give you your break hours late, and purposefully schedule you for 5 hours and 45 minutes so you do not get a lunch. I have cried multiple times on my break because of the way my shift leader has spoken to me.
There are only three people there I have an issue with, but they make the job so miserable it's hard to look at the positives. Don't work here. Cons Rude Management.
